Intel Core i3-8130U reaches 60th place in our Top Laptop CPU ranking

Recently we had the chance to test how the Intel Core i3-8130U inside Lenovo Flex 6 14″ performs and the results from our benchmarks tests placed it at the 60th place in our Top Laptop CPU ranking.

Let’s go through the specs quickly. Part of the Kaby Lake Refresh architecture, the processor features two cores running at 2.20 GHz base frequency and reaching up to 3.4 GHz in Turbo Boost mode. In addition, it features support for the Hyper-Threading technology, relatively low TDP of 15W and also keeps the same 14nm manufacturing process.

When it comes to memory, the CPU boasts a dual-channel memory controller supporting LPDDR3-2133 or DDR4-2400. The processor is also paired with the integrated Intel UHD Graphics 620 clocked at 300-1050 MHz.

Overall, Intel Core i3-8130U is the perfect solution for daily computing tasks such as web browsing or watching videos. The combination of i3-8130U and Intel UHD Graphics 620 is suitable for running light games – for instance, many popular titles such as League of Legends or Minecraft, which are not so demanding, run relatively smoothly on the graphics chip.
