Logitech G413 – a new mid-range keyboard with a different design

We are happy to present you the new Logitech G413 mechanical gaming keyboard. Let’s start off with some specs. The keyboard is a mid-ranger and it is quite simple which is what a lot of users are looking for. You don’t have any dedicated macro or media control buttons. Instead, all the features are bound to the Function keys (F1-F12). The G413 comes with a floating key design which means that the keys do not sit on a single backplate behind a cover. One benefit of this new approach is that it is easier to clean the device. Speaking of the keys, the keyboard comes equipped with Logitech’s own Romer-G switches which are described to be similar to Cherry MX Browns. They feature a short travel distance of 1.5 mm to ensure faster typing at least in theory. The keyboard also implements a USB pass-through that supports both charging and data transfers. There is also a Game Mode which lets you disable certain keys that you don’t want to be pressing when playing a game.

Now let’s talk about the design which is where things get interesting. The design of the keyboard is quite minimalistic to RGB illumination just a single-colored backlight. As we already mentioned, there are no additional macro keys just the ordinary function keys. You get two color options – Silver and Carbon. The Carbon version is a shade of black but it is tempered by a brushed finish on the 5052 aluminum-magnesium alloy top plate which gives the keyboard a nice premium touch. This version has a red LED backlight while the Silver one gets white LEDs.

The Logitech G413 Carbon will be available starting from April the 28th and it will carry a price tag of $129. There is no information about the Silver one, though.
