[FPS Benchmarks] Apex Legends on NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 (95W) and RTX 3060 (65W) – the 95W GPU is 19% faster

Apex Legends is one of the most successful and well-known battle royale titles. The title is based on Source engine and it looks good especially if you greatly increase the visual quality. In addition, the gameplay is the main event here.

The goal is simple – you’re on a huge map with many other players. You have to be the last man (team) standing if you want to win the match and for doing so, you need to play strategically – scavenging for ammunition and weapons is a good starting point.

Visually, the game looks fine and it’s not too heavy if you want to play it on Max details. On the other hand, your machine should be powerful if you have a fast high refresh rate monitor and you want high FPS and bumped visuals to the max. For this comparison, we have prepared two good Ampere GPUs – the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 (95W) and RTX 3060 (65W).

Verdict

Expectedly, the 95W GPU is faster, and if we have to be more specific – it can show 19% more FPS on average compared to the 65W sibling. However, the smaller GPU is a decent performer given the fact how low its TGP is – it can offer 135 FPS on Max details, and if you have a 144 Hz display just switch down to Medium details – this should greatly boost the FPS.
