[FPS Benchmarks] Gears 5 on NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 (90W and 115W) – both perform well but the bigger GPU is 14% faster

Gears 5 is the next installment of the Gears Of War series. Just like its predecessor, it uses Unreal Engine 4 and the game looks very good if you use at least Medium preset. The title isn’t too heavy on Low and Medium settings so low-end devices with GPUs like the GeForce MX250 can run it at least on Low.

The game offers a good single-player campaign and you can also play multiplayer and co-op. Gears 5 supports cross-platform multiplayer as well.

On Ultra settings, the title looks very good but you’re going to need a decent machine for a smooth gameplay experience. That’s why for today’s article we’re going to compare the performance levels of the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 (90W) and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 (115W) and we want to check how big is the performance gap between them when you start playing Gears 5.

Verdict

The overall performance of the two GPUs is definitely good. Even on Ultra, they both offer around 70 FPS which is a decent result. Interestingly, the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 (115W) is 14% faster on average compared to its little sibling. If you always want to see the highest possible FPS values, the 115W variant perhaps will be a good choice if the price difference between the two video cards isn’t too big.
