[Specs and Info] MSI Prestige 15 (A12Sx / A12Ux) – it’s got everything

Business notebooks have never looked better. The Prestige 15 comes back after a successful Tiger-Lake powered year, to come back stronger with a new powertrain consisting of Alder Lake P-series processors and RTX Ampere Graphics. Along with that, you have two 15.6-inch IPS displays and a very appealing design. For productivity and more power-hungry users, the laptop will be able to handle a fair share of heavy tasks.

Today we are giving you a quick overview of the MSI Prestige 15 (A12Sx / A12Ux).

MSI Prestige 15 (A12Sx / A12Ux): Full Specs

Design

The laptop has a very modern design with a metal lid and chassis. It comes in two colors: either Carbon Grey or Urban Silver. Sadly, the blue color that is found on the Prestige 14 is missing here, which is a bummer. The laptop surprises with very slim bezels, while managing to keep a Webcam on top. The body uses sharp edges, rounded corners, and a lid lever mechanism, which props up the rear end of the device. In terms of weight and height, the device is pretty light for a 15.6-incher, weighing 1.69 kg and measuring a profile of 18.9 mm.

Display

There are two displays, with a 15.6-inch diagonal, and an IPS panel. The base model has an FHD panel, while you can upgrade to a 4K UHD unit. MSI doesn’t shy away from bragging about its displays, showing that they cover 100% of the AdobeRGB gamut, along with factory calibrated accuracy with a dE value of <2.

Specifications and features

The hardware consists of Alder Lake P-series CPUs and Iris Xe Graphics G7 iGPU, along with two discrete graphics solutions. There is the aging GTX 1650 Max-Q, along with the RTX 3050, which is capped at 40W, meaning that you won’t be able to extract a lot of gaming performance out of it, however, you can expect good results in Creator apps, as both the integrated and discrete graphics pair up and get to work.
