Design

The AMD laptop uses the same design, which looks decent. It’s solely made from plastic, but durability is good, as it should be, considering that it stops the scales at 2.72 kg and has a profile of 25.33 mm.

Display

The display selection includes two FHD displays with 120Hz and 165Hz refresh rates. The latter has higher 300-nit brightness and full sRGB coverage. There’s also a QHD 240Hz display, also with 300 nits at peak brightness and 100% sRGB coverage.

Specifications and features

Where the G15 5525 differs from the G15 5520 is with the 6000H-series processors. We start off with the Ryzen 5 6600H and can go as high as the Ryzen 7 6900HX, an 8-core 16-thread part, you’ll most likely be satisfied with a Ryzen 7 6800H, which still has the same 8/16 layout. For graphics, you can choose between the RTX 3050, RTX 3050 Ti, RTX 3060, and RTX 3070 Ti. The 3050 and 3050 Ti can go as high as 95W, while the latter higher-end GPUs can go for more, however, Dell doesn’t provide specific power limits.

Once again, the company locks something behind the more expensive GPU options, but this time it isn’t as crucial as Thunderbolt, since we are using AMD hardware. The laptops with the RTX 3050 and RTX 3050 Ti come with a Type-C 3.2 (Gen. 2) port, while the models with an RTX 3060 and an RTX 3070 Ti have a USB Type-C 4.0 port, which doubles the transfer speeds.  The rest of the I/O is pretty much the same with three USB Type-A 3.2 (Gen. 1) ports, an HDMI 2.1 port, an Ethernet port, and a 3.5 mm audio jack.
