HP Elite Dragonfly G3: Full Specs

Design

Similar to its G2 predecessor, the third-gen Dragonfly is outfitted in magnesium, which is how the laptop can stay at a weight of just 0.99 kg and a profile of just 16.25 mm. In terms of the design, the laptop is elegant, with sharp edges and rounded corners, and a simple HP logo on the lid. It also comes in two colors, either silver or a very dark navy blue, both of which look good (we’re big fans of the navy).

Display

There are two display options. The base FHD+ (1920 x 1280p) IPS panel with 100% sRGB coverage and either 400 or 1000 nits of brightness. The second option has an OLED panel with a resolution of 3000 x 2000 pixels, 400 nits of brightness, and 100% sRGB coverage.

Specifications and features

The laptop is powered by the Alder Lake U-series, with there being a total of four SKUs to pick from, the Core i5-1235U, Core i5-1245U, Core i7-1255U, and the Core i7-1265U. All four CPUs come with 10 cores and 12 threads, along with 12MB of cache, with the Core i7 chips having a higher base and boost speeds, with an increase of around 400 MHz. For graphics, there are the integrated Iris Xe Graphics solutions, which will serve you well for some light gaming or quick image editing.

In terms of ports, there’s one USB Type-A 3.2 (Gen. 1) port, two Thunderbolt 4 ports, an HDMI 2.0 port, and a 3.5 mm audio jack. The base also has front-firing speakers from none other than Bang & Olufsen.
