[Specs, Info and Prices] List of all laptops with NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 (Updated: January 2023)

The NVIDIA Ada Lovelace mobile architecture includes a lot of GPU variants and when you add all the laptops in the mix with different kinds of TGPs, the end result is a whole army of green video cards. The mobile NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 is one of them and it’s still a high-end graphics card that can be found in expensive devices. On the flip side, this GPU isn’t as expensive as the RTX 4090 and 4080 and in theory, it could be more popular and widely available.

In addition, this one should dissipate less heat compared to the abovementioned more powerful siblings. This means, that some low-power versions of this GPU can be fitted in thin and light devices which can be a big deal for some of you. Of course, there are high TGP versions as well that are fitted in bigger and thicker notebooks. As you can see, we made a list that includes all the laptops that come with the new RTX 4070.

Below we have the laptop grouped by manufacturer, with updates coming frequently, any time when a new device gets announced or hits the market.

Contents

AORUS 17 (2023)

The AORUS 17 (2023) looks good in terms of specifications. One of the things that can bring more attention to this machine is the cooling setup. It features six heat pipes, three fans with 0.2mm blade thickness, and the heat has been exhausted through four vents. Given the fact that the most powerful GPU variant is the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 (Laptop, 140W), this device could possibly be a very well-performing device thanks to its cooling (we have to check that first). The latter has a really long name – WINDFORCE Infinity Instant Cooling.

There are three 17.3″ display variants – the default one is a 1080p 144Hz model, the next has the same resolution but its refresh rate is 300Hz, and the last variant is a 1440p 240Hz panel. The MUX switch is in the mix as well for the best possible performance during gaming.

Two CPUs are available for configuring – the Intel Core i5-12500H and Core i7-13700H. The upgradability options are standard for a 2023 gaming machine – two SODIMMs (up to 64GB DDR5) and two PCIe Gen. 4 slots. The connectivity extras are again normal for this year’s device – Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.2. AORUS was able to fit a big 99Wh battery and that is good. The keyboard is a three-zone RGB unit.

AORUS 15 (2023)

The AORUS 15 (2023) isn’t just the 15.6-inch version of the AORUS 17 (2023), the smaller device is different. It offers more CPU options – the Intel Core i5-12450H, Core i5-12500H, Core i5-13500H, and Core i7-13700H. The most powerful graphics variant is still the GeForce RTX 4070 (Laptop, 140W).

On the other hand, the cooling isn’t that massive compared to its bigger sibling but still decent spec-wise. It has five heat pipes and two cooling fans. You can choose between four displays – three 1080p variants with 144Hz, 240Hz, and 360Hz refresh rates. The top option is a 1440p 165Hz panel.

The other specs are almost the same as the ones that can be found in the bigger 17.3″ sibling – a MUX switch, two RAM slots for up to 64GB DDR5, two M.2 PCIe slots compatible with Gen. 4 NVMe drives, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.2, 99Wh battery, and a three-zone RGB keyboard.

AORUS 15X (2023)

The AORUS 15X (2023) is a device that brings some high-end specifications for a 2023 machine like Intel Raptor Lake-HX CPUs – the Core i9-13900HX and Intel Core i7-13700HX. The GeForce RTX 4070 (Laptop, 140W) is fitted in the most expensive configurations. The cooling solution has 5 heat pipes and 2 fans.

The display variants are another area where this AORUS machine is shining bright with two 1440p variants – one 165Hz and one 240Hz model.  We can also spot two RAM slots for up to 64GB DDR5, two M.2 slots compatible with PCIe Gen. 4 SSDs, a 99Wh battery, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.2, a battery with a 99Wh capacity, and a keyboard with a per-key backlight.

The 2023 GA402 is a compact beast with a 14″ 1600p 165Hz panel that has a 16:10 ratio. G-Sync and a MUX switch are part of the default specs which is great. Given the fact that this little fella can be configured with a Zen 4 AMD Ryzen 7 7735HS or AMD Ryzen 9 7940HS and with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 (Laptop, 125W), the profile thickness of just 1.95 (1.85) ~ 2.05 (1.95) cm is very good.

The other features that make this device suitable for all kinds of usage are things like up to 32GB DDR5 memory, one M.2 Gen, 4 slot, and a big 76Wh battery combined with a 240W power adapter. The ASUS ROG Flow X16 (GV601, 2023) can be desired by many, this includes enthusiasts, creators, gamers, and regular users. What makes this device so special? Well, the main reason is the 360-degree hinge so the laptop can be quickly transformed into a tablet or can be used in tent mode. This kind of versatility is still a rare thing even in 2023. ASUS Zenbook Pro 16X OLED (UX7602)

The ASUS Zenbook Pro 16X OLED (UX7602) is a cool and modern-looking device with an all-metal build and it can be a true dream for creators because it offers powerful hardware and a lot of different options. The screen is a 14.5″ OLED  touchscreen with 2880 x 1800 resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, 16:10 aspect ratio, and stylus support. There is a MUX switch for reduced latency and maximum GPU power. The hardware of this laptop is a serious piece of tech – Intel Core i9-13900H and Intel Core i7-13700H for CPU options and the most powerful GPU is the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 (Laptop, 105W). All of this, combined with a weight of around 2.10 kg and a profile of 1.8~2.2 cm makes this machine a powerful and light device (for a 16-incher) for creators.

The notebook offers four display options – starting with a 1080p 360Hz IPS panel and the top variant is a 4K 144Hz MiniLED display. There are two slots for RAM and the maximum possible amount of memory is 64GB DDR5. Two M.2 PCIe Gen. 4 slots are available for storage devices. MSI Crosshair 15 (C12Vx)

The main difference is in the display department, here, we have two 1080p IPS variants – 144Hz and a 240Hz model. Both devices are almost the same which means Core i7-12650H is the maximum possible processor option and in the graphics variants you can go as high as GeForce RTX 4070 with 105W TGP.

The other specs – 2x SODIMMs, 2x M.2 PCIe Gen. 4 slots, MUX switch, 53.5Wh battery capacity, and a 200W adapter. For connectivity, the laptop has Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2. The most noticeable difference is the display, the GeForce RTX 4070 (Laptop, 140W)-based devices are equipped with a 15.6″ IPS 1440p 240Hz display which actually sounds great, at least on paper. The less powerful machines have a 1080p panel.

MSI Sword 15 (A12Vx / A13Ux / A13Vx)

The display is a 15.6″ 144Hz 1080p IPS panel and we like the presence of a MUX switch. The upgrade options are just fine – two SODIMM slots for up to 64GB DDR5 and two M.2 PCIe Gen. 4 slots for fast NVMe drives. Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2 are the connectivity options and the battery is the well-known 53.5Wh unit. Here, the keyboard has a backlight that is glowing in blue.

MSI Stealth 14 Studio (A13Vx)

The MSI Stealth 14 Studio (A13Vx) is a compact device with a magnesium-aluminum alloy chassis, 19 mm profiles, and 1.7 kg of weight. MSI Creator Z17 HX Studio (B13Vx)

Here it is another MSI laptop with the 90W version of the GeForce RTX 4070 – the MSI Creator Z17 HX Studio (B13Vx). This fella is meant for creativity tasks – it impresses with a big 17-inch 1600p 16:10 165Hz touchscreen and you can get the optional MSI Pen. This is a thin machine (for a 17-incher) – the profile is 19 mm and the laptop weighs 2.49 kg. A powerful CPU is fitted in the slim chassis – the Intel Core i9-13950HX. The MSI has taken the right path when it comes to cooling – here we have a large vapor chamber setup with three fans.

With all that power, you can play some games after work so this device is a versatile machine with a per-key RGB keyboard by SteelSeries. The upgradability options are good – two SODIMMs for up to 64GB of DDR5 and one M.2 slot that is compatible with the latest and greatest PCIe Gen. 5 standard. The connectivity options are the following – Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.2. Somehow MSI was able to fit a big 90Wh battery in such a thin chassis which is definitely good.

MSI Creator Z16 HX Studio (B13Vx)

Expectedly, the MSI Creator Z16 HX Studio (B13Vx) is the 16-inch sibling of the MSI Creator Z17 HX Studio (B13Vx). The smaller device has a touchscreen panel as well with a 16:10 ratio, 1600p resolution, and 120Hz refresh rate. In terms of power, the laptop is no different compared to the 17″ iteration – Intel Core i9-13900HX and up to NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 (Laptop, 90W). For such powerful hardware, the profile is as slim as it can be – 18.4mm and there is space for a vapor chamber cooling with two fans.

The other specs are the same compared to the bigger “cousin” – two SODIMMs, one Gen. 5 M.2 slot, a 90W battery, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3 (yep, the Bluetooth version is different), and a per-key RGB keyboard.
