3 reasons to buy Acer Aspire E5-576G

1. Good build quality

As far as design is concerned, the laptop features a sturdy aluminum-magnesium chassis in a plastic body. In addition, thanks to the tight and consistent hinges the display stays firmly in place even during mild shocks. What’s more, when the laptop is closed there are no gaps between the lid and the body and the display is not prone to twisting. You are also presented with well-constructed input devices – a comfortable keyboard and huge responsive touchpad.

2. The screen doesn’t use PWM above 63 cd/m2

The Acer Aspire E5-576G is PWM-modulated but only up to 63 cd/m2 and the frequencies are quite high which means that it is comfortable for continuous work without causing any negative impact on your eyes. Of course, you can also install our Health-Guard profile that not only eliminates PWM but also limits the negative blue light emissions and preserves color accuracy as much as possible at the same time.

3. Wide port range

Another merit worth mentioning is the wide variety of input/output ports. On the left front side of the laptop, you will notice an SD card slot, as well as two light indicators that show when the laptop is turned on and for the hard drive work. On the left, there are 1 x USB 3.1 Type-C port, 2 x USB 3.0 ports, HDMI port, VGA port and RG45 port for network connection. On the right, you will see the DC jack, a space for the optical drive, 1 x USB 2.0 port and audio jack.

2 reasons NOT to buy Acer Aspire E5-576G

1. The display covers only 50% of sRGB/ITU-R BT.709

Unfortunately, the display has a rather poor sRGB coverage of 50%, although this applies only to the TN version. However, you could opt for a configuration that sports an IPS panel to avoid this drawback. In addition, our custom profiles further improve the image quality in terms of color accuracy, white balance and gamma.

2. Poor viewing angles

The Acer Aspire E5-576G offers uncomfortable viewing angles. Luckily, you can avoid this problem by going for an IPS configuration instead of a TN one.
