If you are looking for a decently priced laptop that has a good amount of features alongside good performance, the HP Pavilion 15-cs2000 is one of the possible options for you. This machine comes with a large variety of CPU options – 8th gen Intel CPUs and you can even pick it with some AMD Zen+ CPUs. In addition, this fella has three display variants – two TNs and one IPS unit.

We can definitely recommend the IPS display because we were able to test it in our machine and it was a good piece of hardware. Last but not least, this notebook is one of the most affordable devices that can be paired with a good IPS panel, fast CPU, and an NVIDIA MX250 (25W).

4 reasons to BUY the HP Pavilion 15-cs2000

1. Great IPS display

The panel (Innolux N156HCE-EN1 CMN15E8) is a 15.6″ IPS unit that boasts a great contrast ratio – 1230:1 (1120:1 after profiling), a 94% sRGB color coverage, and thanks to our “Gaming and Web design” profile its average dE value reaches a value of 0.7.

2. Pleasant price tag

As we already mentioned, this laptop is well-priced and no matter the configuration it’ won’t cost you a kidney. Of course, it’s not a gaming monster but the performance is definitely there if you choose a decent GPU like the MX250.

3. Decent upgradability

For an affordable device, the upgradability is more than fine. We have two SODIMMs (no soldered memory here), one NVMe slot for fast M.2 drives, and a standard SATA slot for regular 2.5″ SSDs or HDDs.

4. Good keyboard

This HP notebook is equipped with a good keyboard as well. Its keycaps have a decent key travel and averagely clicky feedback. On the other hand, we value the presence of a full-sized NumberPad with big characters for each key. The keyboard has a backlight too and it’s comfortable for typing.

1 reason not to BUY the HP Pavilion 15-cs2000

1. Too much plastic

The low price tag is achieved with some cut downs here and there. The most noticeable one is that the device is almost entirely made of plastic except for the aluminum lid.
