Alienware: Soon everyone will know what VR is and everyone would like to own such a device

Alienware, which is one of the most iconic companies in the gaming sphere, shared its opinion on the ever growing  VR industry. It was Joe Olmsted (global marketing director) who spoke about this and compared VR headsets to Nintendo Wii:

“I don’t know if you remember but ten years ago it was hard to get a Wii, and yet everyone wanted one, everyone wanted to play it, everyone wanted to do tennis and bowling. So we had one, we just lugged it around in a bag and went from place to place to place, you know, be wherever our buddies were at on a Friday night. With VR, I can see that happening; I certainly do it myself.”

Devices such as HTC Vive and Oculus Rift are real VR systems and can easily be carried around. Even though computers did not use to boast the needed performance for VR gaming up to now, this is no longer the case. The new NVIDIA Pascal GPUs as well as AMD’s latest generation of graphics cards have no problems delivering a smooth VR experience at decent resolutions.

We would like to remind you that it was quite recently that Alienware presented their new Alienware 15 and Alienware 17 laptops with GTX 1060 / 1070 / 1080 and Radeon RX 470, which will soon be available for you to purchase.
