GeForce NOW debuts in Chromebooks, as 11 new games join the service

Google’s cloud gaming service Stadia is about to shut down in a few months, as the experiment didn’t work as well as the company had hoped. After the shutdown announcement, Google announced some new Chromebooks made entirely for Cloud Gaming, with RGB keyboards and all of that swag.

However, what’s more, interesting is that GeForce now will come pre-installed on these machines, while support for Amazon Luna and Xbox Cloud Gaming is coming as well.

GeForce Now offers more than 1000 games in its catalog, while 11 new titles join the service. The list includes:

  • Asterigos: Curse of the Stars (New release on Steam)
  • Kamiwaza: Way of the Thief (New release on Steam)
  • LEGO Bricktales (New release on Steam and Epic Games)
  • Ozymandias: Bronze Age Empire Sim (New release on Steam)
  • PC Building Simulator 2 (New release on Epic Games)
  • The Last Oricru (New release on Steam, Oct. 13)
  • Rabbids: Party of Legends (New release on Ubisoft, Oct. 13)
  • The Darkest Tales (New release on Steam, Oct. 13)
  • Scorn (New Release on Steam and Epic Games, Oct. 14)
  • Warhammer 40,000: Darktide Closed Beta (New release on Steam, available from Oct. 14th, 7 AM PT to Oct. 17th, 1 AM PT)
  • Dual Universe (Steam)

The new Cloud Gaming laptops have everything besides the powerful hardware that’s needed to get a good gaming experience. These machines all come with high-resolution displays that have high refresh rates, gaming keyboards, immersive audio, and Wi-Fi 6 connectivity, to minimize lags and stuttering as much as possible. When you purchase one of these Chromebooks, you’ll get a free 3-month GeForce NOW 3080 membership.

Here are some of the recently released Chromebooks, which we’ve covered. The devices should have enough juice and good connectivity to give you a decent cloud gaming experience.
