Lenovo V330 uses high-frequency PWM so it’s relatively safe for extended periods of use

Results from our tests regarding the screen of Dell Latitude 15 3570 just came in and we have some good and some bad news. The bad is that the display is PWM-adjusted from 0 to 60% brightness (65 nits of luminance) while the good news is that it flickers at a high enough frequency and may affect only the users with more sensitive eyes.

Maybe some of you are aware that the higher the frequency gets, the less you feel the negative impact, and a frequency of 26 kHz is considered particularly high. Basically, the device is comfortable for extended periods of use and may cause some discomfort only to sensitive users who spend a lot of time in front of the screen.

We also highly recommend installing our Health-Guard profile, which eliminates PWM and also reduces the negative blue light emissions.

Still, if the Lenovo V330 is not the right one for you, you could browse our PWM ranking for laptops with similar or better PWM rating.

Stay tuned for our in-depth review of the Lenovo V330.
