[Specs, Info, and Prices] Acer Aspire 7 (A715-43G) – The best Aspire that Acer has to offer

Acer’s Aspire laptops are generally their more affordable ones, however, they are separated into three sub-categories, the Aspire 3, 5, and 7. Today we have a higher-end product, the Aspire 7, which comes with a very interesting selection of hardware, including a Ryzen 5000U-series processor, as well as RTX 30-series GPUs, so gaming is definitely in the picture with this one. Acer knows that, offering an optional display with a higher refresh rate. All in all, if you want a powerful laptop for daily use that can also play some games, but doesn’t give off the “gamer” vibe, the Aspire 7 can be a great option.

Today we’re giving you a quick overview of the Acer Aspire 7 (A715-43G).

The Acer Aspire 7 (A715-43G) is available now with a starting price of $699.99.

Acer Aspire 7 (A715-43G): Full Specs

Design

The Aspire 7 has a sleek look, with a Charcoal Black finish. The hinges remind us of the older Nitro 5 from 2021, but the overall design is a lot less aggressive. The laptop still commands some respect, having heat vents on the right, as well as the back, which will come in handy to cool down the Ryzen CPUs and RTX Graphics. Acer doesn’t say what materials it uses, but since the Aspire 7 is supposed to be higher on the Aspire totem pole, we expect a metal lid at least. In terms of weight and thickness, the laptop comes in at 2.15 kg and 22.9 mm, respectively.

Moving to the sides, we see a pretty decent port selection of one USB 2.0 port that’s best left for peripherals, two USB Type-A 3.2 (Gen. 1) ports, one of which works even when the laptop is turned off, one Type-C 3.2 (Gen. 1) port, an HDMI port, an Ethernet port, and a 3.5 mm audio jack.

On the base, you can see a backlit keyboard, which only glows in white, but we like the classier look. The touchpad houses a fingerprint reader, which is a neat feature for faster logins that still leave the laptop secure.

Display

There are two displays available, both with a Full HD resolution and an IPS panel. One of them has a 144Hz refresh rate, which should improve the experience massively, both when scrolling around, as well as when you’re gaming. Acer offers software to adjust both displays, with Color Intelligence, which automatically adjusts the saturation and gamma, while ExaColor can fine-tune the contrast and color temperature. With that said, we do expect to see a good display for Creator work, especially since the hardware is definitely cut out for that job.

Specifications and features

Acer picked two Ryzen 5000U-series processors that were released last year as part of the Zen 3 refresh. To keep it short, they are great value options, bringing a lot of performance and efficiency. You can choose between the Ryzen 5 5625U and the Ryzen 7 5825U, with either 6 or 8 cores and double the threads. For graphics, you’ve got a decent selection, with the RTX 3050 and RTX 3050 Ti. Of the two, we generally recommend the RTX 3050, as the price increase for a Ti model isn’t backed up by that much extra performance. Last year’s model, the 42G came with two SODIMM slots for DDR4 memory, as well as one M.2 slot, so we hope they stay as if you start working with more complex software for 3D modeling or Rendering, the RAM can get eaten up fairly quickly.
