Lenovo's Y gaming series has become renown in the past couple of years and it's clear why. The new successor to the Lenovo Y50 is the Lenovo Y700, and we can tell by its name alone that there are some drastic changes that we need to address. Pros
- Sleek design (even slightly improved) and robust construction that can take a beating for sure
- Good keyboard and improved touchpad quality
- Excellent sound quality (JBL stereo loudspeakers and a subwoofer)
- The screen doesn't use PWM above 58 cd/m2 (59%)
- Added an M.2 SATA SSD slot
- Greatly increased battery life
Cons
- The screen isn't suitable for design work, due to the reduced sRGB coverage
