[Comparison] Dell Inspiron 15 3511 vs Inspiron 15 3501 – what are the differences?

The Dell Inspiron family of laptops offers a lot of bang for the buck. Their most recent one, the Inspiron 15 3511 can be a fantastic daily driver device, with as much power as you want. The laptop uses a modern design, which actually helps it perform better.

It also comes in two variants with either an integrated or a discrete GPU. Today we will draw a quick parallel between it and its predecessor, to see what are the differences.

The laptop has been redesigned from the ground up, with a plastic unibody that comes in a good-looking carbon black color. The laptop has sharp edges and rounded corners, including a flat lid with a Dell logo, debossed onto it. In terms of dimension, the new device is more than 200 grams lighter, while also being a millimeter thinner.

The display selection has remained the same with two 15.6-inch panels, with either a 768p TN panel or a Full HD IPS panel.

Lastly, the specs have been upgraded. The older Ice Lake chips are gone in favor of the Tiger Lake G-series of processors. You can choose between Core i3-1115G, Core i5-1135G7, or Core i7-1165G7. In terms of graphics, there are the integrated Iris Xe units, which perform great, being able to even handle some light gaming. The discrete MX350 is also available.
