Removing the bottom cover

You have to remove 11 Philips screws, in order to open the bottom cover and take a look inside. Two of them hold the battery, so you can’t remove it without a screwdriver. There is one screw for the DVD holder in the optical drive as well.

2.5” HDD/SSD drive, WLAN, RAM, Fans, Battery

Once you remove the cover, you gain access to everything you may need to service or upgrade – the 2.5” HDD/SSD drive, two RAM slots, cooling system (with one fan), WLAN module etc. Unfortunately, you don’t have an M.2 slot for storage (you can check our M.2 compatibility list).
