[Specs and Info] Acer Chromebook 314 (CB314-3H/CB314-3HT/C934/C934T) – a well built and easy to use notebook

If you need a device and you really don’t need the Windows OS, Google is right there on the other side of the street, featuring a simplified user experience that for the most part won’t feel that different from the Windows experience, especially if you do most of your work on the web, which was the entire reason for ChromeOS’s existence in the first place.

The Acer Chromebook 314 (CB314-3H/CB314-3HT/C934/C934T) is a smaller device with a 14-inch screen and low-powered processor choices, which should make the battery life spike up.

Today we are giving a quick overview of the Acer Chromebook 314 (CB314-3H/CB314-3HT/C934/C934T).

Acer Chromebook 314 (CB314-3H/CB314-3HT/C934/C934T): Full Specs

Design

The laptop has a supposedly aluminum design and looks very elegant, with chamfered edges and rounded corners on the lid and base. The gunmetal grey exterior also looks really good and is a nice deviation from the silver and black that we have seen in the past. Continuing on with the base, we see two speaker grills on the left and right sides, along with a tiny keyboard between them and a touchpad below. In terms of dimensions, the 14-inch device weighs 1.45 kg and has a profile of 20 mm.

Display

The laptop offers a single display option with a 14-inch diagonal, Full HD resolution, and an IPS panel. Acer, being as secretive as they are, reveals no further information about the panel, such as brightness, color coverage, or contrast ratio.

Specifications and features

In terms of specs, we have three CPU options, with either the Celeron N4500, Celeron N5100, or the Pentium Silver N6000. The first of the three comes with only two cores and an iGPU with 16 Execution Units. The latter two get four cores, higher boost clock speeds, and either 24 or 32 Execution Units. The hardware can handle daily tasks just fine, especially under Chrome OS, and with the availability of the Play Store, you can try out a whole library of free and paid apps, games, which can further increase the capability of the device.

In terms of I/O, the laptop has two USB Type-A 3.2 (Gen. 1) ports, two USB Type-C ports, a MicroSD card reader, and a 3.5 mm audio jack. The front-firing speaker setup also has DTS spatial audio support.
