ASUS ZenBook 14X OLED (UX5400): Full Specs

Design

With an entirely metallic build and MIL-STD-810H certification, you won’t have to worry about the durability of the device. It has been put through extreme temperature and harsh environment testing to ensure that it can survive the roughest of conditions. For the design itself, you get an ASUS logo on the lid, along with the circular brushed finish that has become a staple for ZenBooks. The lid also has an ErgoLift mechanism, which lifts up the base of the device, giving the cooling more room to work with. In terms of dimensions, the laptop weighs only 1.40 kg and has a profile of 16.9 mm.

Display

The device has two 14-inch OLED displays to choose from, with either a 2.8K or a 4K resolution, 400 nits of brightness, and 100% DCI-P3 coverage. Furthermore, the panels are Pantone validated, delivering great color accuracy, making the display ready for professional colo-sensitive work. The ScreenPad Plus has an IPS panel with a resolution of 2160 x 1080p, which would make it better than some smartphones on the market. As you know, OLED panels deliver very vibrant colors, with true Black colors, which make the images pop.

Specifications and features

The laptop might seem underpowered, but for what it was created, we find it perfectly suitable. You get to pick between the Core i5-1135G7 or the Core i7-1165G7, both of which have 4 cores and 8 threads. In terms of graphics, you have the Iris Xe Graphics G7 integrated unit, along with one discrete option in the face of the MX450 from NVIDIA.

Features-wise, the ScreenPad Plus makes for a unique user experience. You can drag apps from one display to the other, have voice calls, a NumPad, as well as write on it with either your finger or a dedicated stylus pen.
