[Specs and Info] Lenovo ThinkPad L13 Gen 3 (Intel) – Modern touches to an already great product

Lenovo has been doing a lot to modernize its ThinkPad laptops and implement modern trends while keeping the spirit of the brand intact and still putting functionality first. This is how we get the ThinkPad L13, which has a small and portable chassis but still brings a productivity-focused 16:10 display and modern hardware that puts efficiency first but doesn’t sacrifice a lot of performance for it.

Today we’re giving you a quick overview of the Lenovo ThinkPad L13 Gen 3 (Intel).

Lenovo ThinkPad L13 Gen 3 (Intel): Full Specs

Design

This time, the build materials of the laptop are really standardized, which makes our job easier. Lenovo offers the L13 in two colors: Cloud Grey and Storm Black. Both colors arrive with an aluminum lid, while the base and bottom panel are made using glass fiber-reinforced plastic, which we have seen before and are happy with. This combination also results in a portable machine, as the laptop weighs just 1.26 kg and has a profile of 17.3 mm. Contrasting other Lenovos, this one is a tad more branded, with both Lenovo and ThinkPad logos on both the lid and the base.

Display

The Display selection includes a total of four displays, all with a Full HD+ resolution and IPS panels. The base model has a display with an 800:1 contrast ratio and a 300-nit max brightness. There are also two more 300-nit panels, this time with a 1000:1 contrast ratio and 100% sRGB coverage. Finally, there’s a 500-nit option with the same color coverage and contrast ratio, which we’re sure would look great outdoors.

Specifications and features

Lastly, in terms of hardware, we’ve got a total of five processors, starting with the Core i3-1215U and going as high as the Core i7-1265U. With these chips you can expect apps to load quickly and an overall snappy user experience. With a well-calibrated panel, like one of the aforementioned, you can also do a fair bit of design work and art, so you’ve really got a flexible machine.

The port selection is also really good, considering the size of the laptop, with two USB Type-A 3.2 (Gen. 1) ports, one USB Type-C 3.2 (Gen. 2) port, one Thunderbolt 4 port, an HDMI 2.0 port, and a 3.5 mm audio jack.
