Lenovo ThinkPad X13 Gen 2 (AMD): Full Specs

Design

In terms of design, the laptop offers a total of three options for build materials. The Villi black laptops get a lid made from a Carbon Fiber hybrid polymer, a magnesium base, and an aluminum bottom panel. Then we have the Storm grey color, which has two either an aluminum or a magnesium base, depending on whether or not ye deice that you pick has WWAN support. Other than that, it gets an aluminum lid and bottom panel. At least all of them are quite portable, with a weight of 1.19 kg.

Display

The laptop offers a total of four 13.3-inch IPS display options, all of which have either 99% or 100% sRGB coverage, making them suitable candidates for a creator laptop. Two of the panels are identical, with an FHD+ resolution, max brightness of 300 nits, and a 1000:1 contrast ratio. The difference between them is that one of the panels has touchscreen support. The third panel also has an FHD+ resolution, but ups the brightness to 500 nits. The last panel has a QHD+ resolution and 400 nits of brightness. The FHD+ panels offer 99% sRGB coverage, while the QHD+ display has complete 100% sRGB coverage.

Specifications and features

The potential performance inside this laptop is truly dangerous, even to some H-series processors, which naturally bring more performance thanks to their higher TDP. The laptop is available with a total of four CPU options from the Ryzen 5000U Pro-series, which use the new Zen 3 architecture. While they also use the 7nm dye, same as the older Zen 2 units, the architecture itself is improved, brings a lot more performance to the table. In addition to that, the Pro series brings some improvements on its own, such as increased stability and sustained performance, both in the CPU and in the iGPU field. The processors come with a total of three integrated graphics options, which also get the Pro treatment.

Lastly, we have to mention the features. As with many ThinkPads, you get a backlit keyboard with spill-resistance, along with a Trackpoint and a Mylar-surfaced touchpad. Stereo speakers and a Dual Array Far-Field Microphone are also a part of the mix.

We can’t forget about the abundance of ports here as well, with the laptop having a total of two USB Type-A 3.2 (Gen. 1) ports, one of which is always on, allowing you to charge another device, without turning the laptop on, two USB Type-C 3.2 (Gen. 2) ports, an HDMI 2,0 connector, an Ethernet connector, a 3.5mm audio jack, and a docking connector. There are also a NanoSIM card slot and a Smart card reader, but they are both optional.
