Dell Inspiron 15 5515: Full Specs

Design

The design is pretty straightforward and is the same a the one on the previous Inspiron 15 5510. You get an aluminum lid, which gives off a premium vibe, while the rest of the body is plastic. The lid also lifts up the base of the laptop by a little bit, to help improve the cooing, by adding an additional area from where fresh air can enter the system. The laptop is branded quite minimally, with only a glossy Dell logo on the center of the lid. The laptop is pretty portable for its 15.6-inch form factor, as it weighs only 1,75 kg, and is just 17.9 mm thick at its thickest point.

Display

The display choices are pretty simple, in the way that there are none. You get only one screen, and it has a diagonal of 15.6 inches, a Full HD resolution, and uses an IPS panel. Additionally, the bezels on it are pretty thin, which makes the laptop look even more modern in place with the times.

Specifications and features

With the laptop, you get to pick between three different processors, all part of the Ryzen 5000 U-series. The entry configuration comes with the Ryzen 3 5300U, but you can go as high as the Ryzen 7 5700U. There is a caveat with these specific chips, however, as while they are branded as 5000-series chips, they still use the Zen 2 architecture, which was found on the Ryzen 4000 U-series processors. The difference between them is the slight clock speed upgrade that the new ones have.

Some features include an optional fingerprint reader, a backlit keyboard, a digital Duar-Array microphone, and a stereo speaker setup.
