ADATA to launch Marvell-equipped SX9000 M.2 NVMe SSD

Computex 2017 is just around the corner and ADATA is set to officially unveil its new SX9000 lineup of M.2 PCIe 3×4 SSD but the company has decided to tease us a little bit in advance. A photo from social medias pre-announces one of the upcoming products. The 1 TB version of the XPG SX9000 drive is on display. SX9000 is based on the M.2 2280 form-factor and a features a red PCB.

The new SSD will use a Marvell 88S1093 controller which is the company’s first NVMe one. ADATA is ditching the previously used Silicon Motion controllers which is an odd move – we guess that the company is really trusting the new Marvell one. There is no information regarding what type of memory it will use but it is most probable to see it equipped with 3D TLC NAND flash. ADATA M.2 PCIe 3×4 NVMe drives are set to reach  2800MB/s read and 1500MB/s write speeds and up to 4 TB of capacity.

A few more days and we will get more details about specs, pricing, and availability. We hope that we are going to be pleasantly surprised.
