AMD’s Ryzen to launch in early March, Vega graphics card left for the second quarter

AMD’s new Ryzen architecture CPU’s and Vega graphics cards have driven attention to themselves quite a few times in the past couple of months. They even make it to the news as we yesterday mentioned that the new Vega graphics card will feature two SK Hynix HBM2 stacks or when AMD showed a Ryzen+Vega configuration running DOOM at 75 fps on 4K resolution at CES.

AMD has struggled to compete with Intel’s products for a long time now but it seems that the new CPU’s and graphics cards really stand a chance. Otherwise, why would Intel release a Pentium processor with Hyper-Threading?

So, we hope we got you hyped but let’s get to the emphasis of this article – when will they get released? AMD has already claimed that it would be in the first quarter of the year but now we have a bit more precise information. AMD’s CEO Lisa Su shed some light on the release dates in an earnings call yesterday. This is what she said:

I think we have Ryzen launching in early March and then we’ll have Vega, our enthusiast GPU launching in the second quarter…

It looks like that we can expect Ryzen processors as soon as the middle of March, while Vega graphics cards are left for the second quarter.
