Dell XPS 13 9360 is up to 44% more powerful now, thanks to the 8th Gen Intel Core upgrade

Dell XPS 13 9360 is one of the best business companions you can get. It combines sleek design, power, functionality and extended battery life into one single device. It’s a versatile notebook that can be used for a variety of needs. Now the world’s smallest 13.3-inch laptop will become even faster and more versatile as it will be refreshed with Intel’s 8th generation processors.

It’s official, the XPS 13 will get a Kaby Lake-R refresh version. It will be available with either the Core i5-8250U or the Core i7-8550U. Dell claims that the XPS 13 will now be up to 44% more powerful compared to last year’s versions. It is not hard for us to believe that claim as we have tested the Core i7-8550U for ourselves and it is indeed extremely powerful for a chip with only 15W TDP.

You still get all the premium features of before such as a beautiful almost bezel-less 13.3-inch display with optional touch (protected by Corning Gorilla Glass NBT) and a resolution of up to QHD+ (3200×1800). You will also get up to 16GB of RAM and up to 1TB of PCIe NVMe SSD. The USB Type-C port with Thunderbolt 3 support can even be used to attach an external GPU. The Core i7-8550U is powerful enough for gaming so this way you can even transform the XPS 13 into a highly portable gaming notebook.

Models equipped with an 8th gen Intel Core i7 CPU will start selling in the US from September the 12th at a starting price of $1399.99. Additional configuration will be available later in October.
