NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 manages to run Battlefield 1 in 5K resolution (video)

gallery-1A week after Battlefield 1 came out the Web became infested with a great number of videos examining the performance of GPUs by using the EA DICE’s title. One of them, however, stands out greatly  mainly because of the good performance of NVIDIA’s flagship graphics card – GeForce GTX 1080. The GPU became available on the market in the not so distant past, and it doesn’t seem to have any problems running the action game in 5K resolution (5431×3055 p), while maintaining up to 50 fps and an absolutely smooth gameplay.

Additionally, the awesome frame rate is not only due to the high performance of this Pascal chip but also because of the great optimization of Battlefield 1 and the FrostBite 3 engine. As far as the testing computer is concerned, it boasts not only the GTX 1080 but also a Core i7-4770K processor. The video itself is incorporated into this article (see below).
