List of all GeForce GTX 1060 laptops – release dates, specs, prices (Updated: December 2017)

Diversity leads to competition and competition leads to innovation. This is how our modern capitalist world runs. But having the opportunity to decide is a two-edged sword. On one side, the opportunity to decide is freedom. On the other hand, choosing the best from many is no easy task. That’s why we have created this list containing everything we know about the available gaming notebooks equipped with a GeForce GTX 1060 GPU.

We hope that this article helps you out in the process of choosing the best mid-range gaming notebook for you at the desired price. Feel free to leave an opinion in the comment section below.

Acer

Acer Aspire V Nitro (VN7-793G)

We start off with the Acer Aspire V Nitro (VN7-793G) which is overall a great 17.3-inch all-rounder. It packs the power of the Intel Core i7-7700HQ and GTX 1060.

We have a detailed review of this bad boy which you can read here. The Aspire V Nitro packs some great features such as a USB Type-C port with Thunderbolt 3 support, Tobii Eye Tracking technology, and a big 69Wh battery unit.

Maybe the best feature of the Aspire V Nitro is the display. It comes in two variations – a Full HD IPS panel or a 4K IPS panel. We have reviewed the 4K UHD version and we are just beyond satisfied. The panel does not use PWM to regulate the brightness, it covers 100% of the sRGB and 100% of the Adobe RGB color spaces and a whole 97% of the DCI-P3 gamut thus making the display perfect for color-sensitive work as well as consuming media.

Acer Predator 17 (G5-793)

Next up is another 17.3-incher – the Acer Predator 17 (G5-793). It is an older model powered by the 6th generation Intel Core i7-6700HQ but was one of the first models to come with an NVIDIA 10-series graphics card.

Nowadays, there are plenty of notebooks to feature the GTX 1060 that are lighter and more compact than the Predator 17 (4.20 kg (9.3 lbs) and 40 mm(1.57″)) but it still has some premium features to offer.

It features an excellent cooling system that outstands heavy load and a high-quality IPS panel with 75Hz refresh rate and G-Sync support. The Predator 17 also offers great connectivity with the Killer Ethernet E2400 10/100/1000 and Killer Wireless-AC 1535 802.11ac 2×2 MU-MIMO (2.4GHz / 5GHz) modules. There is a good sound system too, consisting out of four speakers and two subwoofers for a real surround sound experience.

You can check out our detailed review over here.

Acer Predator 17 (G9-793)

Much like the Acer Predator 17 (G5-793), the Predator 17 (G9-793) is a 17.3-inch mid-range gaming notebook (there is a difference in one digit in the name).

The models might be very similar but the Predator 17 (G9-793) has a few welcome upgrades. It can be configured with the 7th gen Core i7-7700HQ and you can opt for the GTX 1070 graphics card but we will stick to the GTX 1060 for the purposes of this list.

There is an optional 4K UHD panel as well which is the same AU Optronics B173ZAN01.0 as the one in the Aspire V Nitro (VN7-793G). This means you get 100% sRGB and Adobe RGB coverage and nearly full DCI-P3 gamut coverage making the screen suitable for any graphics designer.

The G9-793 also inherits all the traits of the G5-793 such as the Killer Ethernet E2400 10/100/1000 and Killer Wireless-AC 1535 802.11ac 2×2 MU-MIMO (2.4GHz / 5GHz) modules, four speakers and two subwoofers combo and two 3.5mm audio jacks.

Acer Predator Helios 300 (PH317-51)

The last representative of the Acer brand is the Acer Predator Helios 300 (PH317-51).

The Helios 300 is one model that got a lot of attention when it was initially released. It was one of the more affordable if not the most affordable notebooks equipped with the GTX 1060. That is the 15.6-inch version that we are talking about. But there is also a 17.3-inch model that is also quite affordable.

It stands out with its rather good battery life for a 17.3-inch notebook of around six hours. It is also fairly thin with its profile of just 29 mm (1.14″). It might not sport such a good display as the aforementioned Acer models but you still get a good IPS panel with 94% sRGB color gamut coverage.

You can read our in-depth review for further details.

Alienware

Alienware 13 R3

The Alienware 13 R3 is a small form factor gaming notebook. It has a 13.3-inch display and the overall dimensions of the chassis are 330 x 269 x 22 mm (12.99″ x 10.59″ x 0.87″). The Alienware 13 R3 might be compact but it is by no means light. It weighs a whole 2.63 kg (5.8 lbs) which is considered a bit heavy even for a 15.6-inch notebook.

Despite the extra weight, the Alienware 13 R3 is a great portable gaming notebook with some cool features. For instance, you get not one but two USB Type-C ports but only one of them supports Thunderbolt 3. One of the Type-A USB has the Power Delivery option enabled.

Of course, there is the Alienware-exclusive port for the Alienware Graphics Amplifier which allows you to connect an external GPU to your notebook and increase its performance to match any desktop. Also, you are sure to get the best Internet connection with the Killer DoubleShot Pro Wi-Fi and Ethernet controllers.

Alienware 15 R3

Next up is the bigger brother in the Alienware family – the 15 R3 which based on the name you can suggest sports a 15.6-inch display.

Speaking of the display, the Alienware 15 R3 can be configured with a variety of panels ranging from a Full HD TN one to a 4K UHD IPS model. Some panels come with NVIDIA’s G-Sync technology support and others feature a 120Hz refresh rate.

Just like the variety of displays, you can choose between a few processors – the 6th and 7th generation Intel Core i5 and Core i7 HQ models. You can also opt for an unlocked HK model but only when pairing with a higher class GPU.

The Alienware 15 R3 inherits all the special traits of its 13.3-inch brother including the extra weight but this time the chassis is entirely made out of metal – aluminum and magnesium alloy.

Alienware 17 R4

The Alienware 17 R4 is the largest model in the Alienware family with its 17.3-inch footprint.

Much like the other two it also features some cool features like the Alienware Graphics Amplifier port, two USB Type-C ports, Killer DoubleShot Pro modules and some not so cool features like excessive weight. It also adds some new features like Tobii Eye Tracking.

You get three display options ranging from Full HD to 4K resolution with an in-between variant with the rather unusual QHD(2160×1440) resolution. This panel supports NVIDIA’s G-Sync technology and has a refresh rate of 120Hz. You can check out our review over here to read more about it and get a chance to purchase our custom-tailored display profiles that enhance the viewing experience.

AORUS

AORUS X3 Plus v7

AORUS has only one model for this list and it is the X3 Plus v7. The X3 Plus v7 is another portable gaming notebook but this time it is portable in any terms with its 23mm (0.91″) profile and 1.8 kg (4 lbs) weight.

This notebook can be configured with either the Core i7-7700HQ or the unlocked for overclocking Core i7-7820HK for a price below $2000. Moving away from the powerful hardware, maybe the best feature of the X3 Plus v7 it its display.

The 13.9-inch IGZO panel with 3K QHD+ (3200 x 1800) resolution is probably like nothing you have ever seen before. The IGZO technology is the same that you can find in the Razer gaming notebooks.

ASUS

ASUS FX502

The first notebook carrying the ASUS brand is the ASUS FX502 – an affordable gaming notebook.

As you can see, the FX502 does not carry the ROG branding that ASUS puts on its gaming notebooks but the fact that it is equipped with the Core i7-7700HQ and GTX 1060 although only the 3GB version makes it a mid-ranger. The backlit keyboard features the common for gaming notebooks dedicated num pad.

The FX502 is an older model and can be found with a 6th gen Core processor. It also does not feature a USB Type-C port which is a bit of a shame but covers it up with a mini DisplayPort, HDMI, and three USB 3.0 ports.

You can check out our detailed review over here.

ASUS FX503

The ASUS FX503 is the recently released successor of the ASUS FX503. Again an affordable gaming notebook with some welcome upgrades.

The ASUS FX503 can be configured with as low as a GTX 1050 with 2GB of GDDR5 memory but you can also opt for up to the full 6GB version of the GTX 1060. Another great update is the fact that some configurations come with an IPS panel now instead of a TN one.

The chipset is also upgraded and you can now add more RAM – up to 32GB. There is also a dual-band Wi-Fi antenna and a slightly altered design. However, the FX503 has gained some weight now measuring at 2.50 kg (5.5 lbs) instead of 2.20 kg (4.9 lbs) which is still light enough for easy transportation.

Unfortunately, a USB Type-C port is still absent which could really bug some users.

ASUS ROG GL502VM

The ROG GL502VM is very similar to the FX502  but a few major differences that set them apart.

The ROG GL502VM obviously carries the ROG branding and it is advertised as a gaming notebook. That is why it packs some upgraded features.

With the ROG GL502VM, you get the full 6GB version of the GTX 1060 (optionally you can go for the 3GB version if you like), an IPS panel with 88% sRGB color gamut coverage, Wi-Fi ac and the desired USB Type-C port that supports even Thunderbolt 3 speeds.

All of this is housed in the same chassis with a little different design language but the same dimensions.

ASUS ROG GL503VM

Similar to the FX502 – FX503 case, the ROG GL503VM is a slightly upgraded version of the ROG GL502VM.

The ROG GL503VM features an upgraded chipset that supports up to 32GB of RAM instead of just 24GB but that is not the most important upgrade over the ROG GL502VM. The biggest improvements might be the ones in the display department and storage.

Both have support for NVMe SSDs but the generic hard drive that comes with the ROG GL502VM is now upgraded to a hybrid 1TB Seagate FireCuda SSHD. The ROG GL503VM strikes with its display options. You can opt for a more regular 60Hz IPS panel but you can also go for a fast 120Hz IPS panel with 100% sRGB gamut coverage making it perfect for both fast-paced gaming and color-sensitive work.

ASUS ROG G752VM

The ASUS ROG G752VM is an older model equipped with a 6th generation Core i7-6700HQ processor but also designed for heavy duty gaming.

Like most other older models, the ROG G752VM is rather bulky even for a 17.3-inch notebook with its 4.06 kg (9 lbs) weight and 43 mm (1.69″) thickness but at least it packs a reliable cooling system.

The ROG G752VM might not be a high-end gaming notebook because of the limitations of the GTX 1060 but it sure does pack some good features. You get two 3.5mm headphone jacks which you usually see only in high-end configurations. You have all the ports you could wish for, including a mini DisplayPort, USB Type-C with Thunderbolt 3 support, a multi-format card reader and an optical drive.

You also get a good IPS panel with 75Hz refresh rate and G-Sync support, 90% sRGB color space coverage and no PWM used. You can read our detailed review for more details and analysis.

ASUS ROG GL702VM

Second to last from the ASUS series is the ASUS ROG GL702VM – another 17.3-inch gaming notebook that can be found at a reasonable price.

With the ROG GL702VM, you get the usual set of hardware – 6th or 7th gen Core i7 processor, a GTX 1060 GPU and a Full HD IPS panel with 60Hz refresh rate. The display also has support for NVIDIA G-Sync.

This time all of this is packed in a comfortable to transport 2.70 kg (6 lbs) chassis with a 24 mm (0.87″) thin profile.

Some extras include a big 76Wh battery unit and a USB Type-C port with Thunderbolt 3 support.

ASUS ROG GL703VM

And last from the ASUS family is the ROG GL703VM. Here we see another slight upgrade scenario just like in the GL502VM/GL5023VM case.

Just like in the case of the GL502VM/GL5023VM, the biggest update in the GL703VM is in the screen department. You can continue using the 60Hz panel if you like to but this time you can also opt for a fast 120Hz IPS panel with 100% sRGB color gamut coverage and 5ms response time.

The hard drive inside is the 1TB Seagate FireCuda hybrid SSHD and of course, you get an M.2 slot for SSDs with the support for PCIe NVMe drives. Dual-band Wi-Fi ac is also present.

Unfortunately, the ROG GL703VM decreases the capacity of the battery to 64Wh and increase its weight to 2.90 kg (6.4 lbs) compared to its predecessor.

Dell

Dell Inspiron 15 7577

Initially, the Dell Inspiron 15 7577 was a bit pricey but now that it has been on the market for some time it can be found at an affordable price.

What’s special about the Inspiron 15 7577 is that one of its configurations sports the Max-Q version of the GTX 1060. If you are not familiar with what are the advantages and disadvantages of the Max-Q models you can check out our comparison here.

One of the main advantages of the Max-Q GPUs is that they use less power thus increasing battery life and indeed the Inspiron 15 7577 scored up to 10 hours of web browsing in our lab tests. You can check out our review for more details.

The Inspiron 15 7577 is not too thin 24.95 mm (0.98″) or light 2.65 kg (5.8 lbs) for a Max-Q notebook but it features a really reliable cooling system that preserves low inner and outer temperatures during extensive heavy load.

Unfortunately, the Full HD IPS panel that we have tested did not live to our expectations. It has a poor sRGB coverage and low maximum brightness but at least it does not use PWM. Our custom-tailored profiles can adjust some of the flaws. There is also a configuration with a 4K display that we have not tested.

Dell Vostro 15 7570

Dell’s Vostro lineup is usually associated with the business world but this Vostro 15 7570 worthy of this list of gaming notebooks due to the powerful hardware it features.

Vostro 15 7570 has all the traits you expect from a business notebook – a great full-sized keyboard with a dedicated num pad, a big precision touchpad, some security measurements such as a fingerprint sensor, Noble lock and an optional hardware TPM 2.0 for data protection. Of course, it can’t go without plenty of I/O options including a USB Type-C with Thunderbolt 3 support.

But the Vostro 15 7570 is also unusually powerful for a business class notebook. You get a 7th gen Core i5 or Core i7 HQ processor and up to a GTX 1060 GPU. Unlike Inspiron 15 7577, the GPU inside is the ordinary version of the GTX 1060.

The Vostro 15 7570 is for those who want the best from both worlds.

GIGABYTE

GIGABYTE AERO 14 (Late 2016)

We continue our list with a brand creating products exclusively for gamers. The Gigabyte AERO 14 (Late 2016) is a powerful yet portable gaming notebook that you should take a look at.

The all aluminum 14-inch notebook is just 20 mm (0.79″) thin and measures at just 1.9 kg (4.2 lbs) including the enormous eight-cell 94Wh battery unit. However, do not get fooled by the slim package – inside you can find a powerful Intel Core i7-7700HQ and the GTX 1060 with Optimus Technology support for even better battery life.

The AERO 14 has dual stereo speakers that are Dolby Digital Plus certified to create a dynamic virtual surround sound experience. The AERO 14’s 14-inch IPS display features QHD 2560x1440p resolution.

GIGABYTE AERO 15

Next up is Aero 14’s bigger brother – the Aero 15 which takes what its brother offers and brings even more.

With the Aero 15, you obviously get a 15.6-inch IPS panel but the QHD resolution is gone. Instead, you can choose between Full HD and 4K UHD.

The same powerful hardware is this time hosted in a chassis with the same thin profile of just 20 mm (0.79″) and only the weight has gone up a little bit now measuring at 2.10 kg (4.6 lbs). Actually, the chassis is pretty much the same as in the 14-inch model with only a few millimeters added to the height thanks to the nearly bezel-less design that allows a 15.6-inch screen in the form factor of a 14-inch notebook.

You still get the same huge 94Wh battery and Dolby Digital Plus stereo speakers but you also find some new goodies such as a Thunderbolt 3 port and an RGB-colored keyboard with customizable patterns.

GIGABYTE P55W V7

Third from GIGABYTE is the P55W V7. Another 15.6-inch gaming notebook but this time a little heavier.

It features an IPS panel with Full HD resolution. It runs on the powerful 7th gen Intel Core i7-7700HQ and the GTX 1060 6GB graphics.

You do not get a super slim chassis or a small form factor like the other models by GIGABYTE but you get some other features that might come in handy. For instance, you get not one but two 3.5mm headphone jacks to connect a headset and an external microphone.

You also get an optical drive if you ever need to read or write something to a disk. The Dolby Digital Plus audio system with dual stereo speakers is also present.

GIGABYTE SabrePro 15

The GIGABYTE SabrePro 15 is yet another 15.6-inch gaming notebook by the company.

The notebook sports the usual hardware including the Core i7-7700HQ and a Full HD IPS panel with 100% sRGB color gamut coverage making it ideal for color-accurate work as well.

The SabrePro 15 adds a single 2W subwoofer to the already well-known dual speaker configuration of the other GIGABYTE models. This will let you have a great audio experience with deep lows without external speakers. You also get two 3.5mm audio jacks for connecting a headset and a microphone at the same time.

The SabrePro 15 also provides a beautiful RGB-backlit keyboard with 2.0mm key travel and an additional four macro keys for you to customize.

HP

HP Omen 15 (15-ce000)

HP is a brand that is usually not associated with its gaming gear but lately, it has promoted a few good gaming notebook one of which is the Omen 15.

The Omen 15 is one of the few notebooks on this list that can be configured with the Max-Q version of the GTX 1060. You can check out our in-depth review over here to see how the Max-Q GPU performs in both synthetic benchmarks and gameplay.

In terms of the screen, you can choose between a Full HD IPS panel with almost full-range coverage of the sRGB gamut or a 4k UHD IPS panel. Some configurations come with a fast 120Hz panel with G-Sync support.

The Omen 15 has excellent I/O options including a Thunderbolt 3 port and a mini DisplayPort. You also get a Bang & Olufsen audio system consisting out of two stereo speakers.

HP OMEN 17 (17-w100)

The other notebook to fall into HP GTX 1060 portfolio is Omen 15’s bigger brother – the Omen 17.

The Omen 17 is powered by the slightly older 6th gen Core i7-6700HQ (although there are some configurations with the 7th gen counterpart) and can be configured with the GTX 1070 as well as the GTX 1060.

Just like the Omen 15, you can choose between a Full HD and a 4k UHD panel for the Omen 17. We have tested a configuration with a Full HD panel that supports G-Sync and offer a slightly faster 75Hz refresh rate compared to the most common displays.

With the Omen 17, HP continues its collaboration with Bang & Olufsen. Only this time you get four rather than only two speakers giving you the chance to experience true surround sound.

Lenovo

Lenovo Legion Y720

Lenovo is another brand that does not instantly come to mind when you think of a gaming notebook but it has been enjoying quite some success with its Legion series during 2017.

Only the Legion Y720 is included in our GTx 1060 list. Sometimes you can see the Legion 720 listed with a Radeon RX 550M or RX 560M GPU but we haven’t seen it available. The same goes if you see it with an 8th gen Intel CPU.

One of the things the Legion 720 can boast with is the audio system it has. It sports two JBL speakers and a 3W subwoofer with Dolby Atmos certification. You can check out our review for more details and test results.

With the Legion 720, you also get support for the Xbox One Wireless Controller.

Microsoft

Microsoft Surface Book 2 (15.0″)

If you are not familiar with the Microsoft notebooks you might even be surprised to see the brand on this list but this is a straight fact – Microsoft has a gaming notebook and it is the Surface Book 2 (15.0″).

The Surface Book 2 is a really interesting notebook as there is nothing like it on the list at all. Let’s start off with the hardware. it is powered by an 8th gen Intel Core i7-8650U processor which can hardly be found. Most notebook powered by an 8th gen CPU use the Core i5-8250U or Core i7-8550U which we have tested and compared to the usual for the list Core i7-7700HQ and the result are just amazing. Naturally, the Core i7-8650U should be slightly better than the Core i7-8550U due to the higher clock speed.

The Surface Book 2 is just 23 mm (0.91″) thin (at the thickest point) and 1.90 kg (4.2 lbs) heavy but it packs the GTX 1060 GPU and it is not even listed to be a Max-Q model so you should be expecting the full performance. We have to mention that the Surface Book 2 is also a 2-in-1 convertible – another rare thing to see in the gaming world.

The Surface Book 2 offers a 15.0-inch PixelSense display with 3K (3240 x 2160p) and has many other interesting features such as a gyroscope, magnetometer, ambient light sensor, Dolby Audio Premium speakers, Xbox One Wireless Controller support and much more that we can’t describe with a few words.

MSI

MSI GE62 APACHE (6th Gen)

We are setting a big chapter on our list with a series of MSI notebooks, the first one of which is the MSI GE62 APACHE (6th Gen).

The GE62 APACHE is a 15.6-inch notebook powered by the 6th gen Intel Core i5-6300HQ or Core i7-6700HQ. As for the GPU, you can choose between the 3GB and 6GB version of the GTX 1060 or even the GX 970M.

Like all MSI notebooks, the GE62 APACHE features a keyboard specially designed in collaboration with SteelSeries but on this particular model, you get a beautiful RGB backlight as well. The Nahimic audio system provides virtual 7.1 sound through the immersive Dynaudio speakers plus subwoofer combo.

You get many more game-centric features with MSI’s notebooks such as two 3.5mm audio jacks for connecting a headset and an external microphone.

MSI GE72 APACHE (7th Gen)

The GE72 APACHE is an updated and bigger brother of the GE62 APACHE. Now you get a 7th gen Core i7 CPU or and up to a GTX 1070 GPU. You also get a larger 17.3-inch display.

Speaking of the display, you get two options for the panel. The first is a standard 60Hz Full HD TN panel and the second is a fast 120Hz 5ms Full HD IPS panel with 94% of the NTSC colors.

Internet connection should not be a problem thanks to the Killer Gaming Network E2500 LAN controller and the Intel 3168 Sandy Peak 1 wireless. An upgrade over the GE62 APACHE is that the USB Type-C port now supports Thunderbolt 3 specs.

Of course, you get your RGB-colored SteelSeries keyboard, four Dynaudio speakers and subwoofer and all the usual MSI goodies.

 MSI GE73 RAIDER

The MSI GE73 RAIDER is another 17.3-inch gaming notebook very similar to the GE72 APACHE yet different.

For instance, the GE73 RAIDER has a different speakers combination – you get only two speakers but you also get two subwoofers for deep lows. You get an ESS SABRE HiFi DAC that let you listen and broadcast high res audio.

Another great feature is the per-key RGB illumination on the keyboard which can be used to receive real-time game stats using different patterns.

The GE73 RAIDER optionally comes with a fast 120Hz panel with just 3ms response time which the company claims to be the world’s first on a gaming notebook.

MSI GF62

Taking a step back we present you a 15.6-inch model by MSI again – the MSI GF62.

The MSI GF62 is a rather compact and easy to carry notebook with its thin profile of just 22mm (0.87″) at the thinnest part and 29mm at the thickest. The weight of the device is also fairly low – around 2.20 kg (4.9 lbs). Nonetheless, these parameters can’t compete with MSI’s STEALTH models but we will talk about one of them later.

With the MSI GF62, you get four speakers and no subwoofer like some other models but the Nahimic technology you are bound to receive a great audio experience. Nahimic 2+let’s you create custom audio profiles to get the best our your speakers.

MSI GP72 LEOPARD (7th Gen)

Back again to the 17.3-inch models, we present you the MSI GP72 LEOPARD (7th Gen).

Unfortunately, you can only go up to the 3GB version of the GTX 1060 with the GP72 LEOPARD (7th Gen). However, you still get a Full HD panel with fast 120Hz refresh rate and 5ms response time. The screen also offers 94% of the NTSC colors which combined with MSI’s True Color Tech should provide you with an outstanding visual experience.

The GP72 LEOPARD’s keyboard lacks the RGB illumination of some of its siblings but features the amazing SteelSeries keyboard with single color backlighting and Silver Lining keys.

MSI GS43VR

Next up, we are bringing some diversity with the MSI GS43VR. This is the company’s small and portable but powerful gaming notebook.

The MSI GS43VR is powered by the Core i7-7700HQ and the GTX 1060 6GB GPU but it is a lot smaller compared to most of its siblings with its mere 14 inches in diagonal. The 14-inch panel in a Full HD IPS one. Only 22mm (0.87″)) thick and 1.70 kg (3.7 lbs) heavy, the MSI GS43VR will never bother you when carrying to another gaming session outside your house.

This little bad boy packs all the features we are used to seeing on larger MSIs including the SteelSeries keyboard, Nahimic audio technology, Killer DoubleShot Pro networks controllers, ESS SABRE HiFi AUDIO DAC etc. MSI GS43VR also features excellent I/Os including a USB Type-C port with Thunderbolt 3 support.

MSI GS63 STEALTH

Speaking of portable gaming notebooks, we can’t miss the GS63 STEALTH. The STEALTH in its name is there for a reason – this 15.6-inch notebook is just 18 mm (0.71″) thick and weighs only 1.80 kg but do not think it is underpowered.

The GS63 STEALTH is powered by a 6th or 7th gen Core i7 HQ model and up to a GTX 1070 GPU. As for the screen, you can choose between a Full HD panel and a 4K UHD one.

The GS63 STEALTH stands tall with its aesthetic features including a graphite brushed aluminum finish and the new Dragon Shield on the back which is covered with a Corning Gorilla Glass. The inside of the notebook is also beautifully illuminated by the RGB backlighting of the keyboard including the Silver Lining Print keys.

MSI GT62VR DOMINATOR

The MSI GT62VR DOMINATOR is a more regular 15.6-inch notebook that does not stand out with something too exclusive but still offers some great features.

For instance, you have two options for the display. One is an ordinary Full HD panel and the other is again with Full HD resolution but this time it supports NVIDIA’s G-Sync technology which is not very often seen on an MSI notebook.

With the GT62VR DOMINATOR, you get two 3W Dynaudio speakers and one subwoofer. Of course, the notebook is equipped with Nahimic 2.

The GT62VR DOMINATOR is equipped with the Bigfoot Killer N1435 Wireless-AC controller which supports dual-band (2×2) Wi-Fi ac and features like MU-MIMO to ensure a stable and fast Internet connection at all times.

MSI GT72 (7th Gen)

Much like the MSI GT62VR DOMINATOR, the MSI GT72 (7th Gen) is one of those MSI models that support NVIDIA’s G-Sync technology.

The display of the MSI GT72 is 17.3-inch in diagonal and you can choose between three types of panels. First of all, you get a Full HD TN panel, the second option is a Full HD IPS panel with 120Hz refresh rate and 5ms response time. The third display option is a 4K UHD IPS panel with 100% of the Adobe RGB color gamut coverage.

Of course, the GT62VR DOMINATOR has all the MSI-exclusive features that we described for the other models and there is not much else to say. An MSI notebook is a sure thing for any gamer.

MSI PE62

And last but not least from our long list of MSI notebooks is the MSI PE62 which follows a little bit different approach than the other models we have listed.

You can expect all the usual MSI features from the MSI PE62 but what will maybe make you choose exactly it might just be the looks. The MSI PE62 has a more prestigious look with its silver nearly white-looking brushed aluminum finish.

It catches the eye as a more business-centric device. It lacks the MSI Dragon Shield logo on the back of the lid. Instead, you get a carved in the aluminum MSI logo. Inside you can find a single color (white) backlit keyboard with silver lining printed keys.

Razer Blade (Early 2017)

For the Grand Finale of this list, we have left you the Razer Blade (Early 2017).

The Razer Blade is probably the most portable notebook on this list. This 14-inch notebook measures just 13.6 mm (0.54″) thin and it yet provides you with a GTX 1060 and Core i7-7700HQ. It is also quite light with its 1.84 kg (4.1 lbs) including a big 70Wh battery unit.

Some interesting features are the Razer Chroma RGB backlight (16.8 million colors) on the keyboard or the Killer Wireless-AC 1535 module. You can also take advantage of the Razer Core V2 which is an external graphics enclosure running on the USB Type-C Thunderbolt 3 interface.

The Razer Blade comes with a free downloadable copy of FL Studio 12 Producer Edition and Razer Music grants you access to video tutorials, music samples an more.
