We have some good news for you Motorola fanboys – we recently got the Moto G4 Plus for testing, which we are quite excited to do. Before presenting to you some test results and our full review, though, we would like to publish a short preview of this phone’s capabilities.

5.5-inch Full HD display and Snapdragon 617

777Moto G4 Plus features a 5.5-inch display that ensures a big operational area without sacrificing image detail because its resolution is Full HD, and the pixel density – 401 ppi. Also present is an IPS panel so that colors will be saturated and contrasty, and viewing angles – very decent. Additionally, the display uses Gorilla Glass 3 protection against unwanted scratches.

Furthermore, Moto G4 Plus comes with a Snapdragon 617 CPU, which has eight Cortex-A53 cores divided into two groups. The first four have an operating frequency of up to 1.5 GHz, and the other four – 1.2 GHz. The chip is complemented by the Adreno 405 GPU and 2 GB of RAM, and thus you can expect smooth and snappy operation. As far as internal storage is concerned, you get 16 GB but there is also a microSD card slot that supports up to 128 GB.

16MP camera and 3000mAh battery

7776The main camera on this smartphone is 16MP and it comes with a dual LED flash and laser autofocus, which will significantly reduce the number of blurry shots. Also noteworthy is the max aperture value of f/2.0 that helps in poorer lighting conditions. You will find some additional modes as well as Full HD and Slow Motion video recording. On the front, there is a 5MP selfie camera with a max aperture of f/2.2 and a wide-angle lens.

As for the battery, the unit in this phone is rated at 3000 mAh, and this is more than a good prerequisite for high durability, although we don’t have any official results yet. According to the manufacturer, 15 minutes of charging should ensure 6 hours of battery life.

Android 6.0 Marshmallow and a fingerprint scanner

43The smartphone also comes with stock Android 6.0 Marshmallow, which has no bloatware whatsoever so that you may enjoy the exceptionally fast operation. Nonetheless, there are a couple of useful Moto features that can be really useful.

Unlike Moto G4, the Plus version offers a fingerprint scanner placed on the front of the device. It will allow you to safely and quickly unlock the smartphone even if  you have not placed your finger on the sensor in the best possible way. What’s more, the model is water repellent, which will protect it from unwanted water-related accidents.
