BenQ announces ZOWIE XL254 – a monitor for professional FPS gamers

Earlier today, we shared with you that ASUS has announced a new monitor targeted at the gamers who want a higher resolution at an affordable price. For those of you who want to make the most out of the shooter games especially in professional environments such as ESL, PGL etc, BenQ has an offer for you. The newest monitor of the Taiwanese company is called ZOWIE XL2546 and similarly to XL2540 it is closely aimed at professional gamers.

The model is very similar to XL2540 with one exception – the new Ben Q monitor features a Dynamic Accuracy technology or DyAc, briefly put. It dramatically reduces the blurring of objects when there are sharp movements allowing you to focus and aim more easily when you are shooting – in the video below you can see an Overwatch test with turned on/off Dynamic Accuracy technology.

BenQ ZOWIE XL254 is a 24-inch monitor featuring a TN matrix and FHD resolution. In addition to the response time of 1 ms, the model also has a refresh rate of 240Hz. Of course, in order to achieve 240 fps you need to have a powerful graphics card such as GeForce GTX 980, Radeon RX 480 or newer, depending on the FPS title. The monitor includes a combo jack for mic and headphones, DL-DVI, Displayport 1.2 and HDMI 2.0 ports.
