The new DeathAdder, named DeathAdder Elite, now incorporates a brand new 5G optical sensor with DPI rated up to 16 000 while tracking 450 inches per second and supporting up to 50 g of acceleration. Moreover, the buttons now integrate mechanical Omron switches, which the company claims optimize the response time and, of course, gives a longer life span of the mouse. The switches are rated at around 50 million clicks – just like Cherry MX Red switches.

Other notable new features are the slightly rugged scroll for extra grip and the support for Chroma RGB LED lighting that can be customized through the software. A feature that was only present in the Chroma version of the mouse. Also, the polling rate is the 1000 Hz standard and the USB cable is 2.1 meters long and braided. The mouse will be available starting October with a price tag of $69.
