Samsung Galaxy S7 edge is the NEW new leader in our smartphone GPU ranking

ZDABGLg32 (1)Samsung Galaxy S7 edge positioned itself right next to its sibling it both our CPU and GPU smartphone ranking table. Both phones got similar results in our benchmark tests and while the classic version of the Galaxy S7 holds a minor lead in the CPU performance, the edge model took the first spot in terms of raw GPU performance. Still, the results of both devices in all of our benchmark tests are way higher than those of other competitors and the new SoC is the one to blame. The classic Galaxy S7 and the Galaxy S7 edge feature the Exynos 8890 SoC, which has a second-generation 14nm FinFET manufacturing process and boasts four Cortex-A53 cores clocked at 1.59 GHz and four more powerful Exynos M1 cores clocked at 2.6 GHz. The mobile chip also integrates the Mali-T880MP12 GPU and 4GB of RAM.

You can expect many more test results and information about the new Samsung Galaxy S7 edge in our upcoming in-depth review of the model. However, if you’re interested in the price and availability of the device, visit the following link: http://amzn.to/1VcECoq

Thats until you try out the same phone with Snapdragon 820 chip. Adreno 530 scores consistently over Mali T880MP12. So that should be the new gpu king for now.
