The Lenovo ThinkPad E580 display doesn’t use PWM only at maximum brightness

The Lenovo ThinkPad E580 has undergone several tests the results of which are a rather mixed bag. Unfortunately, the panel uses pulse-width modulation for regulating the brightness of the screen resulting in the so-called flickering effect for all brightness levels except for the maximum one which may cause unnecessary strain on some users’ eyes.

We say some of the users because, as you know, the higher the frequency of the pulsations, the better, and our equipment has measured 21.7 kHz frequency of emitted light which reduces the negative effect to a huge extent. Of course, if this happens to be an issue for you, we have a solution to the problem and it is our Health-Guard profile, which eliminates PWM and also reduces the negative blue light emissions.

And if you are looking for other laptops with better PWM rating, we suggest browsing our PWM ranking.

Full BS. You can’t eliminate PWM with profiles. Why are you giving wrong information? Why are you lying???

Hey, Alisher 🙂 Next time, instead of calling BS, you could just ask “Hey friends, how do you do that?”
Have a nice day!
