Guess what arrived in our office! (Spoiler: Acer’s Predator 17X)

As we promised a few weeks back when the Acer Predator 17X was announced, we have early access to the notebook which means that a full review and set of tests are on the way. We are mostly eager to see if the notebook has the same panel as before – we are pretty happy with the image quality – and how the cooling system will perform with that desktop-grade monster of a GPU – GTX 980 with 4GB of GDDR5 VRAM. It will also be fun to check the overclocking capabilities of this beast and how much from the Core i7-6820HK CPU and the GTX 980 can be squeezed out.

That’s all we can say for now, unfortunately, as we just finished unpacking the notebook. We will keep you posted about every detail and step along the way to the full review. For now, you can see when and for how much the notebook is expected to hit the market. You can also check the tech specs of the laptop we are going to test.
