The new HP Omen 17 (2017)’s screen doesn’t use PWM

Just like most G-Sync-enabled notebook display’s, the new HP Omen 17‘s panel doesn’t use PWM for regulating screen brightness. The panel is made by AU Optronics with model number B173HAN01.4.

This means that the flicker-free display will be safe to use for long periods of time and you can enjoy the excellent properties and high refresh rate (120 Hz) during gaming. You can still browse our PWM ranking table for notebooks with similar PWM rating and we also recommend our Health-Guard profile that eliminates blue light while preserving color accuracy as much as possible.

only on hp omen 17 or also on hp omen 15 120 hz panels too
