Acer Aspire E5-575G’s battery life is slightly below average

acer-aspire-e-15-e5-575g-53vgDid you read our quick look at the Acer’s budget everyday solution the Aspire E5-575G? Well if you did you probably noticed that the battery pack inside this thing isn’t generous. It’s just enough to get some work done on the go with the screen’s brightness set to low but don’t expect too much. Here’s the proof.

We tested the device with our usual settings – Wi-Fi turned on, screen brightness set to 120 cd/m2 and Windows’ power saving feature switched on. And so we got just 303 minutes (5 hours and 3 minutes) of web browsing and even less on the video playback – 273 minutes (4 hours and 33 minutes). That’s slightly less than some competing models in the same price range like the ASUS X556/K556 and the HP ProBook 450 G3, for example. It even falls short to Dell’s 17-inch Inspiron 5759.
