ASUS unveils its latest Z270 motherboard – the Maximus IX Extreme

Asus Republic of Games (ROG) has launched a new enthusiastic Intel Z270-based full-size ATX gaming motherboard. Apart from all the generic features for a top-tier gaming motherboard such as multiple safeguards, illumination, lots of connectivity options etc. the Maximus IX Extreme stands out from the crowd with its integrated Water Cooling Master monoblock. The water cooling monoblock can cool off your CPU and VRMs (voltage regulator modules) as well as your M.2 slots.

You get four DIMM slots on this motherboard which support DDR4 RAM with a speed of up to 4133MHz and a maximum capacity of 64GB. Intel Extreme Memory Profile is supported. Storage options include eight SATA 6Gbps slots and two M.2 slots. You also get all the necessary connections such as a Thunderbolt 3.0 and Type-C ports.

All the colors are from the gray scale but a touch of brightness is added by the Aura Sync illumination. Audiophiles will be satisfied to know there is an ROG-exclusive SupremeFX S1220 codec with 113dB line-in SNR.

The ASUS ROG Maximus IX Extreme should be available in mid-March and carry a price tag of $728. You can order yours from here: http://amzn.to/2m85Myy
