[FPS Benchmarks] ARK: Survival Evolved on NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 (130W) and RTX 3060 (75W) – the bigger GPU is the winner

ARK: Survival Evolved is a breath of fresh air when it comes to gameplay experience – it’s not the usual shooter with a boring storyline and brainless enemies. The title looks beautiful and as a player, you’re on an island that is populated by dinosaurs and other prehistoric creatures (and other humans as well). If you want to survive you must build a base and you have to use weapons too.

ARK: Survival Evolved uses Unreal 4 engine and it looks very good but on the other hand it’s not the lightest game out there especially if you want to use the Epic graphics preset. Still, we have prepared two mid-range GPUs – the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 (130W) and RTX 3060 (75W). Let’s see what these two can offer when it comes to ARK: Survival Evolved.

Verdict

The difference between these two GPU isn’t that big on Low but after that, the 130W GPU becomes clearly faster compared to its rival. The good news is that if you don’t mind 55 FPS with maxed-out visuals, the game is decently playable with the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 (130W). If you want more FPS you can switch to High which will give you a lot more FPS and almost the same visual quality.

The 75W GPU is a decent performer as well – it scores 46 FPS on Epic and 76 FPS on High which sounds good for a mid-range GPU with modest TGP.
