[FPS Benchmarks] Cyberpunk 2077 (with RT and DLSS On) on NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 (130W) and RTX 3070 (130W) – both can handle ray-tracing on Ultra with DLSS off

Cyberpunk 2077 is one of the biggest blockbusters of 2020. Sure, the first version of the game was full of bugs and glitches, problems with broken save files, mission bugs, etc. Yeah, it wasn’t the smoothest start for Cyberpunk 2077 but after some patches (especially after version 1.2) the game is in a much better (and playable) state.

Aside from that, the game offers a really long single-player campaign full of mission and additional gigs. The titles look really good on Ultra and especially when ray-tracing is activated. On the other hand, Ultra + ray-tracing is a real FPS killer for most gaming machines.

In this article, we’re going to expect the performance of NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 (130W) and RTX 3070 (130W) while using Cyberpunk 2077 on Ultra Quality with ray-tracing set to Ultra as well.  We tested the game with the four in-game DLSS modes – from Quality to Ultra Performance.

Verdict

The good news is that the game is playable even when DLSS is turned off – the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 (130W) can show up to 48 FPS on average while the smaller sibling is reaching 40 FPS which is just fine for such demanding visual settings. The sweet spot for these two GPUs is DLSS Quality (and maybe DLSS Balanced too) – both GPUs are breaching the 60 FPS mark on DLSS Quality while the visual representation is still impressive.

We can advise you to try to stick to DLSS Quality and Balanced on 1080p because on Performance and Ultra Performance the overall picture quality becomes a bit blurry and grainy.
