[FPS Benchmarks] Doom Eternal on NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 (130W) and RTX 3060 (75W) – the bigger GPU is faster

DOOM Eternal is the latest installment that is part of the super-popular first-person shooter series. The gameplay is just tons of fun – first of all, the graphics are very good, the gameplay is super dynamic and includes intense battles with a lot of enemies and in-game bosses at the same time.

One of the good things about this game is that it looks fine even on Low settings (just check the videos on 4K quality). Based on our test, we saw that even some not-so-powerful GPUs like the GeForce MX 450 (GDDR6 / 25W) can deliver around 43 FPS on Low preset which is okay for an unpretentious gameplay experience.

So, let’s see how many frames can show the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 (130W) and RTX 3060 (75W) when it comes to Doom Eternal.

Verdict

On Low and Medium, the difference between the 130W and the 75W GPUs is a big one – the 130W GPU is 32% faster on Low and 25% faster on Medium. That’s definitely a lot but surprisingly the difference is reduced to just 5% when Ultra Nightmare preset is applied.

This reminds us that the 75W GPU is doing a good job, especially if you want to max out the visual quality.
