[FPS Benchmarks] Red Dead Redemption 2 on NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 [40W and 50W] – the 50W GPU is 20% faster
When it comes to Rockstar Games their titles are being always long developed but in the end, most of them are blockbusters. For example, Grand Theft Auto V is still one of the most popular games up to date (it was released 5 years ago for PC). On the other hand, we have Red Dead Redemption 2 – just like GTA V, this game has a big open world, but the story takes us back to the Wild West days which means no cars here, only horses.
This title uses the RAGE engine, just like GTA V but in this game, the engine is modified and modernized. This leads to two main things – the game looks very good but it’s really heavy and you’re going to need a super expensive machine if you want to see all the video options turned on.
As every time, we’ll show you how the GeForce GTX 1650 [40W, 896 CUDA, GDDR6] and the GeForce GTX 1650 [50W, 1024 CUDA, GDDR5] can handle this game.

Verdict
First of all, the performance of both GPUs is not bad at all. Low is playable and the gameplay is smooth for both video cards. As you may already guess, the 50W graphics card is faster with 23% better result. The more power-friendly GeForce GTX 1650 can achieve 57 FPS which is a decent score.
Medium is a whole another story. On Low, the game is a bit ugly-ish but on Medium the title looks good and we can spot a lot of fine details wherever we go with our horse. The two cards are able to show more than 30 FPS on average and the game is playable as well (if you aren’t super pretentious). However, the GeForce GTX 1650 [50W] offers a bit smoother experience with its 39 FPS which is 18% more compared to the 40W GPU score.
