Moto C preview – 5” screen, 4-core processor, Android 7.0 Nougat and low price

The Мото family is growing bigger and bigger, and one of the latest lineups in it is Moto C. It was officially revealed in May and now it has become available in some countries. Another characteristic feature of Moto C is that it’s the cheapest Moto model. If you happen to show interest in this smartphone, you could check its current price and availability here: http://amzn.to/2vBHa6F

Traditional design and 4-core MediaTek processor

Moto C has a pleasant traditional design with profile thickness of 9 mm and weight of 154 grams. Its sizes contribute for a comfortable grip and single-handed operation, which is further facilitated by the rounded edges that it has. Additionally, the phone boasts several color options – gold, black and red for those who like to be noticed.

The smartphone uses a MediaTek MT6737M mobile processor which has four Cortex-A53 cores ticking at up to 1.25 GHz. Also, the chip features a Mali-T720MP2 and 1GB of RAM. Thanks to the stock Android this should be enough for smooth operation. Storage-wise, you get 16GB and a microSD card slot.

5MP camera and Android 7.0 Nougat

Moving on, the rear camera is 5MP and it has an LED flash and 1.4 µm pixel size. Furthermore, you can also find some familiar modes such as Panorama, HDR and others. You can also record HD videos at 30fps. The front-facing camera is only 2MP and it boasts an LED flash of its own.

Software-wise, we are dealing with Android 7.0 Nougat – the latest version of the mobile Google platform. There is no user interface or pre-installed apps to occupy room of the internal storage. The model also supports Bluetooth 4.2, 4G connectivity, and has dual SIM capabilities.

5-inch display and 2350mAh battery

Moto C’s display is 5″ and offers a reasonably big operational space which does not increase significantly the overall smartphone dimensions. In other words, using only one hand with it will not be uncomfortable. The resolution here is relatively low – 854 х 480 pixels. Considering the 5-inch screen, the image detail is around 200 ppi which is normal.

Moto C sports a 2350mAh battery which is replaceable. We have no particular data as to its durability but the manufacturer claims that it is a good one. This is expected, of course, considering the not so demanding hardware.
