[Specs and Info] The ASUS ROG Flow X13 2-in-1 is the newest expansion to the brand and looks to be both a powerful and portable device

Thin gaming devices have been getting more and more attention as powerful hardware become more compact, more power-efficient, and more readily available. This marked the rise of devices such as the Razer Blade Stealth, which has been getting ovations from a lot of people.

It seems like ASUS wants some of that praise for themselves and that is why they have decided to enter the market with a fierce competitor to the Razer Blade Stealth, in the face of the ROG Flow X13, which features a slim design with a 360-degree hinge and powerful internals, that make for a stylish and capable device.

ASUS ROG Flow X13: Full Specs

Design

As this is a 2-in-1 ultrabook, the design here is a big focus. Being both practical and good looking might be a bit of a tough call to achieve, but ASUS has been in the game for too long to not know how to do it. For this ROG Flow X13, they have chosen metal for the whole body, making for a pretty thin and sturdy device (metal sheets, by being stronger than plastic, can be thinner, whilst providing the same level of rigidity). We cannot skip the folding mechanism as well, which provides versatility and makes it so you have two devices rather than one.

Display

In terms of displays, ASUS offers two choices for you. Both panels have a 16:10 aspect ratio, meaning that they are more focused on productivity and improving your workload. The more room on the vertical axis makes it so you can fit more apps on your screen, thus improving multitasking. The first display option has an FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. If you want to go all-in, however, there is a 4K panel, which provides detailed and great-looking images.

Specifications

The specs on this device are quite impressive, considering the form factor and dimensions. CPU-wise you get to select between the Ryzen 7 5800HS and the Ryzen 9 5980HS, which are the newest Zen 3 CPUs from AMD. They are part of the new Ryzen 5000-series processors and we can’t wait to test them ourselves. For the graphics card, for now, there is only one choice: the GTX 1650, and while some of you will want something more powerful, or maybe a card from the new RTX 3000-series, when you see that the laptop weighs only 1.30 kg, you’d be happy with what’s already inside.
