HP ProBook 440 G5’s IPS display doesn’t use PWM so it’s safe to use for long hours of work

As you may have read in our in-depth review, HP ProBook 440 G5 comes with two display options and we are pleased to inform you that the configurations that sport an IPS panel not only offer great viewing angles and very good contrast ratio (1230:1) but also don’t use PWM for regulating screen brightness.

According to our equipment, HP ProBook 440 G5 doesn’t use PWM across all brightness levels which makes the screen suitable for extended periods of usage without causing unnecessary eye strain or fatigue in this aspect. This will certainly come as good news particularly to users that work in front of a monitor throughout the entire day.

However, you can still browse our PWM ranking table for notebooks with similar PWM rating and we also recommend our Health-Guard profile that eliminates blue light while preserving color accuracy as much as possible at the same time.
