Intel announced new SSDs based on the 3D NAND technology

intel-ssdIntel announced several new SSD series, targeting both business customers as well as big companies that need very high data transfer speeds. We now know that the American company has one of the fastest SSDs on the market – 750 Series. The new models, however, are not falling behind.

We would like to begin with the business solution – SSD 600p Series. The model is of the M.2 type and supports the PCIe 3.0 x4 interface. Because of this, the read speed can go up to 1800MB/s, while the write speed – 560MB/s. We mus also note that the device is based on the 32-layer TLC 3D NAND flash.

SSD 6000p Series is very similar to the above version. We are dealing with the same memory type and speed in an M.2 form factor, with the difference being the presence of Remote Secure Erase Solution. The latter allows for a remote data management and more data safety. Apart from these two series, Intel also announced SSD DC P3520 and SSD DC S3520. The former SSD is meant for those of you who are likely to spend more time reading information via the available software, whereas the other series is a more balanced solution. We don’t know the exact figures yet, but we think that the first SSD model will be much faster in terms of read speed.

The last two series that were announced are SSD E 6000p Series and SSD E 5240s Series. SSD E 6000p Series is again of the M.2 type and relies on the 32-layer TLC 3D NAND flash. Of course, it supports the PCIe 3.0 x4 interface. The last series will be available in both M.2 and 2.5-inch form factors. Its flash type is MCL 3D NAND.
