Lenovo E31-70 has PWM for all levels except for maximum, but the frequency is really high

While the review of Lenovo E31 being baked, we would like to offer you some insight into different aspects of the notebook. One of the most significant tests we do is to check whether the screen emits pulse-width modulated (PWM) light. This is important as PWM, or more commonly known as screen flickering, can be bad for your eyesight. You can read more about what PWM is in our dedicated article.

The E31-70 comes with a 13.3” Full HD screen that emits PWM light for all brightness levels but the maximum 100%. The good news is that the frequency is really high – 31 kHz, or around a hundred times faster than what is considered to affect the brain in a negative way.
