Windows 10 anniversary update to be released on August 2nd

win-10The month of April brought us the news about the future of Windows 10. Back then we learned that we can expect a huge update of the OS that will improve its operation. We were informed that the additional contet will appear betwen the months of June and July, and today Microsoft fixed a particular date.

Unfortunately, we will have to wait a bit because the update will be released on August 2nd – five days after Windows 10’s first birthday. We can’t wait to see what developers have accomplished as there will be a lot of improvements plus several programs that have not been included in the OS yet. Examples of these are Windows Ink (the GIF below illustrates it), Windows Hello and Xbox Play Anywhere (a program that saves your progress in games, irrespectively of whether you play on Xbox or PC). Additionally, there will be slight improvements in Cortana that will be also included  in Xbox consoles, some updated emoticons, new add-ons for the Edge browser and some other details.

The update that will arrive on August 2nd is absolutely free of charge. For now Windows 10 is still free of charge and you can upgrade to it by the end of July 29th – after this deadline you will have to purchase if want to use it.
