hp-probook-450-profiles

As many of you already know, our latest project is the LaptopMedia profile package – sets that reduce the negative impact of computer screens (Health-Guard), as well as sets for Office work / Web design, and Gaming / Movie Nights. You can read more about the profile advantages in our dedicated article or find more about the really important Health-Guard, which reduces the Blue Light impact and eliminates the screen flickering (PWM), all in our detailed article on the matter:

Today we’re going to take a look at the quality of HP ProBook 450 / 455 G3‘s display and its health impact. Also, we’ll share the results we got in our laboratory and what the actual advantages are when using LaptopMedia’s profiles. Of course, you’ll also have the option of buying them.

Since our profiles are tailored for each individual display model, this article and its respective profile package is meant for HP ProBook 450 G3 / 455 G3 configurations with 15.6″ LGD0465 (HD, 1366 x 768) TN screen, which can be found at Amazon.com: ProBook 450 G3 / ProBook 455 G3.

Office Work / Web Design

This profile aims to deliver the most accurate colors possible in the sRGB gamut – the colors used on the Web. That makes it suitable for Office work and, in some cases, for Web Design; although the TN screen of HP ProBook 450 isn’t exactly the best option if you’re going to use the machine as a professional design workstation. We would advise that you pick a notebook with an IPS screen and better gamut coverage / contrast ratio. However, we successfully bring the average DeltaE 2000 (color accuracy, the lower the result – the better) down from 10.5 to 2.9. Let’s see how that looks in the two graphs below…

Gaming and Movie Nights, Health-Guard

HP ProBook isn’t the best gaming notebook out there, but With the Gaming and Movie Nights profile you can get a better experience when watching movies when ambient lighting is low. This profile lets you see more details in the darkest areas (you can see an example here).

The Health-Guard profile reduces the Blue Light impact and eliminates screen flicker on 200 cd/m2 brightness (be sure to keep the brightness slider at its Max position).

Installing and using the profiles

You can find a guide for installing and using the profiles HERE.
