Acer Aspire R13 shows great battery life despite its small capacity

Later on this evening, we will publish a detailed review of the Acer Aspire R13 which proved to be a more unconventional alternative to the Aspire S7. We were somehow pleased with the battery performance of the S7, but the R13 really steals the show here.

All tests share the same conditions – power saver on, Wi-Fi is on, Bluetooth is turned off and screen brightness is set to 120 cd/m2. On the web browsing test, we were able to squeeze out 451 minutes with only one charging which is a really good bump up in terms of battery performance compared to last year’s model with Haswell generation CPU which was 408 minutes. The other two results from the tests were also outstanding with 397 minutes of video playback and 208 of gaming.
