Intel Core i5-8250U also comes to Dell XPS 13, HP ProBook and ASUS ZenBook UX430 as well as Acer Swift 3

As we shared a few days back Acer’s next generation Swift 3 ultrabook will be equipped with the eight generation Coffee Lake Core i5-8250U. What’s interesting about this new chip is that it will be first announced ULV processor to feature four physical cores thus doubling the total amount of threads to eight.

Now, we want to share with you the news that some of the best notebooks on the market a the moment are going to be the first to be refreshed with the new Coffee Lake architecture processors, in particular, the Core i5-8250U. These are going to be the ultra-portable Dell XPS 13, the business workstation HP ProBook 440, and the compact ASUS ZenBook UX430.

The best Geekbench score from these three belongs to the Dell XPS 13 which scores 13060 points in the multi-core test which is 94% as much as the previous generation equipped with an Intel Core i5-7200U. Double the amount of cores and threads sure does show up in synthetic benchmarks.
