[Preliminary] Apple M1 Max vs Apple M1 – A very serious piece of hardware

The new M1 Max is truly an astonishing chip. It brings proper performance to the 14 and 16-inch MacBook Pro laptops, which definitely need it, as they are Apple’s flagship mobile devices. Today we will put the M1 Max against the OG M1, which will give us a clearer picture of how the new SoC performs.

Keep in mind that these are still preliminary results, so don’t put your trust in them as of now. We will update the comparisons as soon as we get the new MacBooks in for a review.

Here is our Top Laptop CPU Ranking where you can find the best-performing CPUs for laptop devices.

Next, we move on to Apple’s results that they showed during their launch event. Once again, this is done by Apple themselves, so don’t make any assumptions based solely on it. As the M1 Pro and M1 Max share the same 10-core CPU in the tests below, they have the same scores.

Conclusion

In conclusion, the new M1 Max chip is looking out to be a serious player in the mobile computing scene. Once again, we hope that we get them for ourselves ASAP, so we can provide insightful information about the real performance of these new processors. Stay tuned for more preliminary coverage of the M1 Pro and M1 Max.
